Due to a high level of demand, we now run two Ladies' Choirs who meet at the Music Centre to rehearse on Tuesdays in term-time.

  • The morning choir (10-11.30am) sings in three parts (SSA - Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto)
  • The afternoon choir (2.00-3.30pm) mostly sings in three parts (SSA - Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto)

All ladies are very welcome; there is no need to audition.

As well as a great opportunity to sing, these choirs regularly perform in local concerts and festivals and also enjoy socialising together.

SPECIAL OFFER: join one  Abingdon Music Centre Choir and join a second AMC Choir for half price!

Both Ladies Choirs are now held in Abbey Baptist Church, Checker Walk.

Mary Wade

Musical Director of the Ladies' Choirs (Morning & Afternoon)

These are both friendly, positive choirs. We aim to have fun but also to improve our technique. I try to choose a varied repertoire. I think the choirs enjoy their sessions and are proud of their improvements and progress. I really enjoy working with both of these choirs.
